marketing and exporting premium British Columbia Agri-Food brands to
Asia. Specialty aspects include a high level of logistics expertise with
the handling of shelf stable and time/temperature sensitive products.
Vancouver has a strategic advantage being the closest North American hub
to the Asia Pacific region. This provides in certain situations a
much shorter transit time plus advantageous cartage rates. This is
significant when exporting high quality products. Our understanding
and knowledge of the Asian markets have allowed us to successfully
navigate the FEHD/CNCA regulatory requirements.

All of these high quality brands/products are produced in HACCP/GFSI Certified production facilities. Food Safety is our #1 priority. Freezer shipping containers are pre-chilled before loading to -28 C (ice cream) and -18 C before loading of frozen product. Frozen goods are loaded in a manner whereby no product comes in contact with interior container walls during transit. This process eliminates any un-desirable temperature transfer when shipping products into sub-tropical regions. GVE logistics mandate is to ensure all perishable products arrive at destination in perfect condition. Fresh perishable products are shipped by direct air services.

Freight (FFAF). FFAF are located on the tarmac at Vancouver
International Airport. In their new state of the art 700 square metre
reefer facility thermally sensitive products are prepared for transit in
a seamless process. With loading docks on one side of the reefer and
grade level loading on the other, products are never exposed to ambient
conditions. FFAF then transfers thermally protected aircraft ready
airline pallets (‘cookie sheets’) direct to aircraft.
